Webervations status update -- images online

All images have propagated should be online and working now.  If you notice any problems with images, please post in the comments the exact website address (URL) that has the missing image or images so that we can investigate. Please do make sure you post the actual location of the image (website address or booking page address -- just copy this from the address bar at the top of your browser) so that we can resolve this is as quickly as possible. 

UPDATE: 1/17 4:30 PM CST: all images should now show the correct version.

For info - Each of our cottages ("vacation rentals" in American English) now has an image displayed but they are all old ones from EU Bookings (an old Webervations product that is now obsolete).  They were all updated on Webervations sometime ago.  It's not a problem as they can be uploaded by us over the weekend (I hope..).
The availability simplifier "image" is not working yet.

The image for the Goddard Mansion is not showing on the association web page for NH Country Inns. It is in the link for group availability to check the availability of all the inns at once. I have put that link in for the website above but to get to that link it is http://www.nhcountryinns.com/id33.htm

@ Tim - We're going to work on fixing this issue as it probably affects other folks as well.  Essentially, the issue is that we have multiple versions of some images, and the correct version may not have been applied.  If you can just leave the image as-is for now that will help us investigate and fix the problem.   Thanks!

@ Steve - please let us know what program you are using that will not sync, and we can assist you further.  There is also a nice article on how to update specific software programs that might have been affected by the server switch.  Note that RezOvation software should not be affected.  Details here: www.rezovation.com/webervations_transition.html

I get this message when trying to navigate to the Webervations 2.0 booking engine for my inn:

Our availability and our images have not loaded onto our availability page on http://www.thomasshepherdinn.com/avail.html and if we select dates for reservations the information showing on the webervations site reserve.webervations.com/.../resbook.asp is also incorrect - rooms are showing available that are not.  I left a phone message about this problem early today - it is obviously not fixed yet.

@ Scott the image at www.webervations.com/.../nhcountryinns.asp should be showing up now -- you may need to refresh the page or restart your browser to see it.

For more information on the Thomas Shepherd Inn problem, it is this page reserve.webervations.com/.../calendars.asp that is in error.  We are on Webervations 2.0.

I have tried clearing my cache and history, refreshing the page, and restarting my browser and the image on nhcountryinns.com is still not showing up for me. Thanks, Scott

@ Jeanne - Looks like some images for Weber 2.0 have not refreshed yet, but should be refreshed in the next few hours.

@ Scott -- The image is definitely there on the server, so it may be a DNS issue with your internet provider.  I would give it a few hours and see if it resolves.

Giving it a few hours means waiting until 5:00 on a Friday before a holiday weekend.  I'd like assurance that the problem will be fixed before everyone goes home and doesn't get back to work on it until Tuesday.  Is this problem on the Webervations server?

Still cannot get onto webervations even after flushing the cacheper the instructions. I can get on using the alternate address and room bookings seem to work through my website. The best thing about Webervations was its reliability. Are there reliability issues with Rezovations?

@ Jeanne -- I do apologize for the delay -- we are definitely moving as fast as we can to resolve this.  The issue right now is that some images for Webervations 2.0 have not fully updated on the servers yet.  We expect that the images will be updated within 1-2 hours from now.  Rest assured that our engineers will not be going home until the system is completely stable and we have worked out these types of issues.  We'll be here over the weekend if we have to, and we are not taking a holiday on Monday either Smile  Thanks again for your patience and understanding.  This is a necessary step for us to take to ensure that the system is running smoothly and will be maintenable for the long term.

@ Ken - reliability is our #1 concern, and rest assured that the system will be just as reliable, if not moreso, than it has been in the past.  Right now the issues you are seeing are related to DNS (domain names server) updates, which unfortunately we don't have a lot of control over.  Whenever you move systems like we have, the physical address (IP Address) can change, and so the backend systems that handle the translation of domain names (e.g. www.webervations.com) have to update to get the new physical location. We did send out DNS updates with the new physical location prior to today, but not all the servers on the internet have these updates yet, and so you may just have to wait for those updates to apply.  Unfortunately, we don't have control over how often these servers update -- your internet provider and the various internet providers that they work with do.  For today, using the alternate URL (64.244.121.82/magic-scripts/input/avsignon.asp) allows you to bypass this translation and go directly to the new physical location.  I would expect to see any issues like this fix themselves today.

Thanks for the updates, I do understand that a lot of the issues will work themselves out once the DNS issues are resolved which sounds like there is nothing we can do but wait. However, what about the issue I called about this morning of not being able to enter a credit card # in a guest contact when I make a reservation? I am on Webervations 2.0 and it just will not save a card # so I have to write it down on paper right now which is not good for PCI Compliance.

My navigation/banner images aren't loading correctly because the page color seems to have changed.  The background should match the green of our website and it did on the old servers.  Odd...

My Webervations Individual Unit Availability Calendars are showing incorrect information on my web pages, the images are the ones created on the fly and placed as a graphic as a calendar, the info is correct when i log into webervations and check my availability but the booked/available dates do not match what the image shows online. Some calendars are not showing at all.

Each of our guest rooms has an old image showing on the availability page.  Is this something I should do by uploading the newer images that were actually changed on Webervations several months ago?

Embedded calenders show incorrect availability!
fits one doesn't show at all and second shows incorrect.
The main webervation calender shows correct.

Everytime someone books I have to call them to get the 3 digit credit card code even if they put it in during electronic booking?  what do I do to fix?

There are old images of our Carriage House posted.  Andy posted new picutes last year for us.  His folder with the correct Dark Red photo (CH_lrg) is still on the American Dreams host site.  Please get this updated as soon as possible.  I have deleted the old Pink large photo but can't delete the small one of the stored photos.  I also can't upload any new ones myself.

I have been using Webervations 2.0, the updated version, for about 6 months.  When the system went down on Thursday and came back up, my website has the old Webervations.  Anyone making a reservation can make one on a date that is already booked.  So it's not using the updated version.   Plus I don't receive any indication that someone is trying to book a room.

Images still now showing correctly.  I suspect the background color has been changed somehow.  Please fix....Entire page should be the same "green" color.  This worked fine before this transition.
