Availability calendar issues are resolved

January 17, 2009 17:16 by Ben

I'm happy to report that the ALL availability calendars (including graphical and javascript) are now working properly and should display the correct availability.

If you notice any problems, please post comments in the blog and we will respond and quickly as possible.

Thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding.

Things have improved greatly over the weekend with the correct images showing here acroos the Atlantic and the embedded calendars displayed - but with a few glitches.  Is anyone else having problems?

I understand now that the embedded calendars only update every 24 hours. Thursday and Friday's didn't work at all.  Saturday night's showed all months but displayed "Baywatch" flags in the booked dates.

Last night's calendar is only allowing the current month to be shown (no scrolling allowed) and is displaying very bright orange pumpkins in the booked dates!

See: www.westwoodlodge.co.uk/availability.html

Nice "X"s are what we used to have but the Webervations site doesn't allow the user to change the display.

Thank you for your efforts to sort things out so far!

Tim - We’re looking into the formatting issue and hope to have that resolved very soon.

It looks like the checkmark was somehow changed to use the pumpkin graphic, not sure why that happened.  I’ve looked around at some other availability calendars and I did not notice this issue.  To update the calendar image, do the following: go to Configuration > Web Page Setup. Click the Setup Instructions link at the bottom of the page under New Feature Added 10/14/2006.

@ Tim - while the calendars are not displayed in real time, they do actually regenerate about every hour.
